NQ64 Newcastle

Description

Starting off in a basement in Manchester's Northern Quarter, NQ64 has quickly spread across the country since 2019, and Newcastle's venue is a must-visit.

Immerse yourself in the action straight away as you step into a dark interior filled with neon-splattered graffiti all over the walls, making for a quirky Instagram backdrop on a night out with your mates.

This retro bar brings a strong sense of nostalgia to anyone who comes to this Pilgrim Street destination, thanks to 31 arcade machines, two pinball machines and eight old-school consoles offering throwback games like Time Crisis, Guitar Hero, Pacman and much more. While the consoles are totally free to use, you can grab tokens from behind the bar for all the other machines.

Feeling thirsty? Luckily, the cocktails here are just as whacky as the place itself, from the Crash Bandicoot-inspired Aku Aku Fruit Punch to the Mars Attacks which is served on the rocks with Chocolate infused Jack Daniels, nougat, caramel and Mars Bar ice cream.

They’ve got some unbeatable student deals, including half-price gaming and cheap drinks.

Every Sunday from 11am to 3pm NQ64 opens to anyone under 18 with an adult. Relive the golden age of video games with an afternoon of retro gaming with the little ones. Why not head down this Mother’s day.
